Jayson Ambrose starts Kayaking The Great Loop

Oct 1, 2016: Jayson Ambrose begins his kayak journey around The Great Loop in a counter clockwise direction today. If he completes the 13-15 month journey, he will be the first Canadian to do so.  He starts in Mobile (Spanish Fort), Alabama, along the Gulf of Mexico, around Florida, up the Atlantic coast to New York City, up the Hudson River and through the New York canal to the Great Lakes and Canada, across Lake Ontario, through the Trent-Severn Waterway, Georgian Bay, and Lake Michigan to Chicago, following the river system to the Mississippi River and the Tom-Bigbee waterway back to Mobile, Alabama to complete the loop.
