Colin and Julie Angus, married in British Columbia since previous record-breaking "human-powered" trips, have just begun their next adventure. They are travelling 7,000 km from Scotland, through Britain, Europe, and the Middle East to Syria on two 5.5 metre (18') rowboats named Niobium and Tantalum. Each boats carries a bicycle and boat trailer to enable land travel. Colin's book,
Beyond The Horizon: The Great Race to Complete The First Human Powered Circumnavigation Of The World was recently released; Julie's book about rowing across the Atlantic,
Rowboat in a Hurricane: A Woman's Journey Across a Changing Ocean, will be available later this year. [
